Creating Your Bedroom Design
When it comes to redoing a bedroom you have many choices that should be made. But what you should always keep in mind that the room should have a relaxed feel to it, and one that you can fall asleep in. This is why you should choose the colors of the room wisely, and not put in something that will keep you or another awake. The bedroom is where you want to go to feel safe and relaxed after a long day. So before you start redoing that bedroom make a plan, and get the color choices out of the way.
Bedrooms are normally done in more neutral colors, but this although it comes across as peaceful, will also be boring in a lot of cases. So feel free to decorate and experiment with different colors that go with your mood and likes. A nice dark red will come across as a seductive color that can add to the bedroom if you and your spouse sleep there. But you really shouldn’t do a child’s in this color. Maybe a younger daughter may like pink in their room, and have it decorated like a princess’s room.
Just keep in mind that the bedroom floor, walls and furniture pieces are arranged well and complement each other. Soft furnishings and a good mix of color scheme can be used to give a feeling of comfort and spaciousness to the room. Choose simple bedroom sets which come with side tables, dressing table and vanity mirrors with a nice bed lamp, which can blend well with the rest of the decor. It is preferable to have light pieces of furniture, which can be moved around without cramming up too much space.
You don’t want to forget about the windows. Curtains are an important part of room decor. Classic window treatments include silk or velvet curtains that are bright in color. And you don’t want to forget about the floor. You can find area rugs that can change the entire look of your room in an instant. Choose Oriental or bamboo rugs that are colorful. Put a throw rug down at the foot of your bed.
In today’s world you can find a rug that is washable and easy to maintain. You can keep a change of bedspreads, throw pillows and such on hand to change the look as you wish. This will depend on what looks good for you. The point is that you want a lighter bedspread for the summer months and a heavy bedspread for the cold winters.
You want to have the right lighting in your bedroom and that is easy to get with the choices homeowners have today. You can read at night before turning in. Choose a good mood light or a light with a dimmer to adjust according to your mood.
